ABOUT US

Over the last 30 years, I've held the position of soloist, worship leader, worship team member, ensemble member, choir member and choir director; which enables me to bring a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the table.

I currently coach/develop vocalists and small groups privately, as well as conduct weekend workshops for large groups or ensembles, worship teams and choirs.  Workshops are held at the location of your choosing.  In all vocal sessions, we address the following:

• Introduction (what is expected)
• Vocal Hardware and Healthcare
• Breathing Techniques
• Vocal Techniques
• Proper Body Position
• Warm-up Exercises
• Vocal Strengthening Exercises
• Relating to your audience
• Microphone / Stage Etiquette

• Commitment / Dedication / Focus

Included in private & group coaching is

• Preparation for Competitions, Festivals, Pageants and Special Music and/or Solo performances. 

SMALL GROUP  COACHING  (2-5 people)

Small Group coaching involves the same as private; however, we incorporate blending.  Coaching small groups deals with sectional training and development of the ear to hear your part while singing with other voice parts.  Many have difficulty with tone production.

CHOIR OR GROUP WORKSHOPS  (6 or more persons)

Workshops incorporate all of the above and are structured based on your current need.  They can consist of 6 weeks of 1-hour sessions or one weekend (Friday and Saturday, 6-7 hours total).  Large group workshops are many times held at your location.  Cost of travel to your church, school, or meeting place is included in my fee.

In workshops, I deal with many voices; therefore we don't have the luxury of one on one personal coaching.  However, we address issues that involve commitment, dedication, discipline etc.  We spend time also with the choir directors and pastors (if they desire it) addressing issues of organizational structure that only they deal with.  Inspiring and encouraging them to keep pushing their groups towards excellence. 

I believe in developing the whole person.  I tell my students:  "What good is it to have a beautiful voice if no one wants to hear you sing because you have an ugly attitude."  This is where development of the whole person plays a role.
